ah, dave- really, you should get a job and stop torturing us! i will stop by for the warm photos. we are indeed up in the valley, living quite near hatchers pass. luckily no work related travel to los anchorage. (i like that) my son has ultra long eye lashes and lose babies grow icicles on them in the (outdoor) tub. but it gets us outside when we would otherwise be hiding indoors in our jammies. would like to possibly chat via email on your immigration to the land of oz as the company my hubby works for has offices and openings there. i am a health care professional and looks like they might take me too. we tossing it around anyway. cheers!
Brittany: Yeah, but you are now in the cool winter carnival season in Squarebanks! Lucky person! Are you gonna take pics of the ice carvings and the North Am Open this year???? Please???
akfnp: I thought my email was on my profile... I just checked and it's not, oopsie.

Qualified health care pros are always welcome down here. :)
Hatcher's Pass and the valley are nice areas, cool.
suzer: I think by the time you get back here from kiwiland it'll be past pool season :(
It's not so painful now to look at this photo as it was a couple of weeks ago when it was minus forty (and guess when we ran out of fuel oil?), but it's still pretty disgusting.
You watch it--one of these days some strange wild-eyed gray-haired editor type and a crazed grinning Kraut are going to knock on your door and demand fresh tomatoes and booze, if you keep this up. I have friends in Australia and Tasmania and relatives in law in New Zealand, so I actually have a plausible excuse to come down there.
Speaking as the other person in the pool, and after spending 21 hours in the air, returning to Anchorage, with a full 747, bumpy flight conditions and no sleep, I should have stayed.
anonymous/anna: Yup, you shoulda! It's gonna be in the high 90's/low 100's for a couple of days... 16 lories in the feeder this morning... It's rough, I tell ya!
Oh, thumper is a thumpette! Hadn't seen her for a day and half, then she shows up all thin-like. She musta laid the eggs. It also explains why I haven't seen her partner and her together lately: someone's gotta mind the roost!

I can't remember the last time I wore such few clothes outside - and in water nonetheless! I must admit to being (only slightly) jealous.

I live (or will soon) in Adelaide and I'm still jealous.

KG: no worries, didn't turn the solar heater on so it's been getting up to only 92 F. Although right now the pool is in the 70's; blech.
Deirdre: No worries, mate! Come on down, put yer plates up, grab a tinny. Crikey, just don't be a wally; be fair dunkum instead.
Airpsly fairbilis!
