TABA. Chapter 15. More Fossils

This will be the last post from the caves. However, we still have "The Trip Home" to get through. Think 30 foot tall lobsters... And some more really neat country towns... And I get to draw on more maps WEE-HOO!

I've only got two pics from WP of the fossils as she was more focused (ha, me so funny) on the cave formations. But these two are great.

Before I show you those (well, you *can* scroll down and skip this) I'm going to re-post the two cat pictures where I asked you for input. Amazingly enough, two of you gave input. I thought they were funny --but then again I see humor in lots of odd places. For example: I went out to the feeder to put some seeds out for a cockatoo who had alighted there and was calling me loud names (not repeatable, sorry) and (as I got close) the way his (I saw his eyes, he's a bloke) feet looked reminded me of the scene in the movie Dark Star where the alien is tapping it's clawed feet on the decking. I smiled and tried not to laugh as I put a pinch of seed out for the cockatoo. Or, as they are known down here, a cockie. I think I could type that word all day; cockie. Cockie.

I'm rambling, sorry.

Here's the first pic. I asked for a caption. I was really really really hoping SOMEONE would make a crack about "lipstick on a cat" but, sadly, no one did. But a nice (I'm assuming she's nice) lady up in Massatoochits came up with a very good caption.
coffin cat
"Listen, you turd. You and that lady went off for a week to look at some drippy caves, and I took over the house while you were gone. I sleep anywhere I damn well please now, including the flower box. So F off."

The next one I asked for a story. Mel Keegan came up with a great story! It is rather long, so just go here to read it. The same lady New England who made a good comment also came up with a good story.
creamed cat
"I....tried...to."
Pant. Pant.
"Step."
Pant. Pant. Pant.
"Over the dang board."
Pant. Yawn.
"But had to take a."
"Breather."
Flop.

Alrighty then, here's the two pics that WP took of Simosthenurus occidentalis and of Thylacoleo carnifex. It's just too cool. A snub nosed roo facing off with a marsupial lion (that has opposable thumbs).

Up next; a long journey home.
