Yea Though I Walk Through The Valley...

...of the Fiery, Flaming, Frizzling, Febrile, Furnace of non-Frigidity...

I shall fear no Heat

warmth

For I have the help of the Sacred Saint Wenceslas to help cool myself...

Well, ok, it's kinda hard to follow Wenceslas' footsteps into the pool... And he did warm the page up instead of cooling him off. Damn, this jus' don't make no sense 'tall. Sigh.

Onto something serious!

Did you know that we are still in spring? Yep, summer don't oh-phish-eealle start til December Oneth. This could be a rather warm summa down unda, mates.

I checked the BOM long range f'cast and have found out that we are supposed to have an 80% chance of higher than average temps for the fourth quarter of 2009. We are also supposed to have a 75% chance of less rainfall than average.

Hot and dry.

I think this is now the 10th year of the drought (I guess I brought it with me, sorry) and we've been on permenant water restrictions since I've been here. Yes, I know; it's all my fault!

I live in the driest state in the driest inhabited continent in the world.

No reason to blow my nose anymore as I just sorta chip away at the dried, yellow-brownish gunk encrusted about my outer nasal passages. *I hope you aren't eating lunch right now*

And speaking of eating, I'd suggest you put that donut and coffee down RIGHT NOW as I refuse to be held accountable for damages to your new keyboard as you spew all over it!

Holy cow, how big is that thing?

Score for your water entry form: 9.5

Is it really that hot there? As you've probably heard, we got a nice bit of snowfall here these past few days. I had to shovel the porch (when did I get such a big porch?) and I've already had the driveway plowed.

Wolf spider? Scary looking bugger if it decided to crawl up on your stomach while dozing in the pool.

y'know, if you remove that ferret from your chin you might cool off a degree or two ... just sayin'.

And, I find it funny that my word verification is 'resespe', which is pretty much how I say it when imbibing anyway, "hic, ya gotta try this resespe, dude, hic".

Maybe the spider was hot too. He, she, it has a lot of hair - you can relate right?
PS It is cold here, heater on while I shower, heated pad on the bed, and Jim installed a new on demand hot water heater so I can take LOOONNNG showers - yay.

Dragonfly: For the size of a Huntsman, check out my All Hallow's Eve post from last year: http://alaskandavedownunder.blogspot.com/2008/10/boris.html

Dragonfly: Thanks for the high score! There's only one problem with landing like that while not wearing underwear...

Dragonfly: That was the temp when I moved the sensor into the sun. The shade temp (official temp) was only 101. One month till summer actually starts. Yep, heard about the snow. Hmmmm, shovelling snow or cleaning the pool? I know which I prefer :) *ker-sploosh*

Sciencebloke: I think the Huntsman are more afraid of us. It's quite the size difference.

la isla d'lisa: The way I keep my furry ferret trimmed negates any extra heat. You should try growing one sometime and you'll find out what I mean! LOL Ahhhhh, drunken cooking...

SV Meerkat: Those two bipedal lifeforms that crawl all over and inside you are such wusses.
