Well, do ya? Cus if you don't like Mondays and you want to tell the whole wide world about it --or at least anyone who happens to swing by your office cubicle-- then I've got just the thing: a po'd galah mousepad!
See? Don't that look cool? That's the one on my desk, but you can get your own on right here:
I Hate Mondays! Quality mousepad from Zazzle
I didn't want to tell anyone about this till I got mine; had to see the quality, dontcha know! *wink* I've also got a calender close to ready, several greetings cards, and all other sorts of parroty goodies!
Hmmmm, what would YOU like to see the parrot pics on? Lemme know, eh?
I must confess that I don't always take good pics. Sometimes they can turn out looking like utter crap. Here's proof that I still need to learn how to use the focus ring:
And I guess I shouldn't brag about my framing skills nor my ability to hold the camera level. Fore-lighting can be a pain too... worse than backlighting...
However, don't despair cus sometimes things work out:
Maybe this bloke has watched too many Simpsons episodes...
You know, Itchy and Scratchy!
and he's got big moths
and she's got big moths
but we've got the biggest
moths of them all!

That mousepad is nothing short of awesome... as well as that beautiful giant moth!
I was talking with one of my favourite photographers I personally know, and he told me the professional-photographer's dark secret to taking good shots was just to take lots of them, and be prepared to toss (these days, delete) 95%% of them.
Which is comforting, to a guy like me who has no talent. ;)
Some of those bad shots you posted might be salvageable, with some clever cropping and some photoshopping. Whether you feel its worth the effort or not is a whole different matter, though.
Uh yeah - utter crap.
Just kidding - your bad ones are still good ones in my book. And yes, I worked for a photographer way back and I also learned to take a zillion pics and delete the bad ones (I just have a hard time deleting). Thankfully there is digital now!
And now back to watching "The Itchy and Scratchy Shoooowwww"!
P.S. Mondays? Uh - don't you not work? All the days kind of run together here in Meheeeco, but I know a lot of people that would be good for (in my past life)!
that moth is cool...doesnt look like a bird like my hawk moth did though. euuuuuw.
my mom got a bird...im learning they are quite social little things.
Gretchen: Glad you like the mousepad; there'll be more parroty goodies appearing over the next month. Size of moth: wingspan of about 3 inches!
KC: I shoot about 200 to 300 shots a day... I fill a 2 gig card 2 or 3 times a week...
Meerkat: One of these days, the cat's gonna win! Regarding mondays; I have no problem with them, but I thought it might amuse some office workers.
Fizzy: It was a pretty cool moth, big sucker too. I bet it laid eggs on my tomato and basil, bastard! What kind of bird did your mom get? Yes, the do have a complex social structure, smart buggers, they are.
